Are tip rates given by law?

Unfortunately, no. Tip rates aren't given by law in any world country - this means that tip rates in our application are the average given by the locals.

How much does the app cost?

The app is really bargain-priced - you can download it for just $0.99. There are no in-app purchases nor ads that would require you to pay anything more!

Do I need any internet conection?

Internet connection is used only for reverse-geocoding your location. Of course, the country can be changed manually. We're working on an update which should remove this limitation. All other features work without any internet connection.

We are the authors!

Maybe you would like to know about us a little bit more, so here it is. It can look like we're a professional iOS developer studio, but that's not the case - at least for now. We are a two person team settled in the heart of Europe - the Czech Republic. It all started about a year ago, when we were on vacation in the USA. Dominik, the main coder, thought it would be great to know something about Objective-C and iOS programming, so he bought some books and started learning. He instantly got in love with iOS programming and started thinking about ideas on great apps and games. Then Daniel came and as he saw the endless possibilities of the apps he started thinking about making a little in-house studio. This all happened in August, 2011. When we came back from the vacation Dominik took some iOS programming courses and Daniel came up with some ideas. The the brainstorming started and first app was released into the Apple's App Store, just to try out the system.

Then it happened - the idea of iWorldTip was born! After many hours, days and weeks Dominik spent on programming, Daniel took his part and started designing the app interface. So the app started to look like a real app. Of course, many improvements were made since the first idea, the app got geolocating, custom tip option, more people divider and many more. The last thing which we focused on was the music - Daniel as a professional composer made some really nice and smooth background music. Dominik took part on the interface sounds. And then it was 2012! In January the app was sent to the App Store and 3rd of February 2012 was released to the public!

  • A long awaited update has finally come!

Features:
  • The new version of iWorldTip introduces two more skins named restaurant royale and night life to provide the true feeling of being in a restaurant and bring a modern look.
  • Introduction of two more precision made background music tracks.
  • A map with user position and the selected country has been included. This feature shows your position and any selected country in the world map and can be extremely helpful in locating an unknown country.
  • In the new version of iWorldTip, you have the option of turning off the intro animation and to hide all warnings. A 'no country selected' warning appears when a function is initiated without selecting the country. Now you can avoid them by hiding all warnings.
  • All displays in the new version uses advanced HD RETINA graphics.
  • Significant modifications have been made in the skin changing mechanism and some parts of code have been cleaned and optimized.
  • Fixed bugs pertaining to random appearance of warnings.
  • Several other bugs including memory related issues have also been resolved.
